Family Emergency Shelter
The Good Shepherd Alliance Family Shelter is a 10-bed emergency shelter for families. Residents enter into our Six Steps to Self-Sufficiency program upon entering the shelter. This program is an intensive case management program geared to helping families in crisis get back to self-sufficiency. Guests may stay up to 89-days in the emergency shelters. Most are able to progress through the program in this time frame.
The shelter monitor oversees maintenance and management of the facility, assuring a peaceful living situation for any families who may be our guests at any time. Adults must be a part of our Six-Step to Self-Sufficiency program, helping them to move toward a steady job and affordable, stable housing for their family. During their 89-day stay, guests work on many areas of their life such as budgeting, childcare, transportation, physical and mental health, job training, life skills, and housing assistance.
