Case Manager/Director (Full-time) 


Will supervise case managers & specialists in delivering a comprehensive program of social services, which  include recruitment, assessment, counseling & linkage with entitlement, health, educational, transitional, vocational & housing programs & services in order to stabilize displaced families. Will carry own case load. BA in social services, human resources, MSW desired or a related field or equivalent experience in social sciences. Emergency Homeless Shelter Monitors



Opportunities are available to live and work with the homeless in Loudoun County.  Fulfilling work helping others is now available at three homeless shelters in our area.   


The Good Shepherd Alliance, Inc. (GSA) is a non-profit Christian organization that has been providing walk-in emergency shelter, food, clothing, transportation, and counseling for the homeless of Loudoun County, Virginia since 1983.   


Live-in monitors wanted for homeless shelters run by The Good Shepherd Alliance, Inc.  Positions available at our Purcellville and Brambleton shelter locations.  Monitor act as overseers of the assigned home for our homeless guests.  Monitors ensure shelter rules are followed, supervise volunteers, conduct trainings and assist shelter guests as needed.  Monitors are a primary contact for our shelter guests and serve as support for our guests’ transition to self-sufficiency.  Monitors are required to live in the home with our homeless guests.  Monitors are provided with a small salary, room and board.   


Monitors must have very good judgment and skills in working with families in crisis.  Light maintenance and upkeep responsibilities of the house are necessary. The Good Shepherd Alliance is looking for individuals who have a heart for the homeless and who agree with our helping, Christian philosophy.  An ability to empathize with the guests in the home while maintaining order and discipline is required.  High school diploma, written documentation skills, interpersonal skills, honesty and integrity are required of successful applicants.   Criminal background check, drug testing, references, and Division of Motor Vehicles check is required of those applying for the positions.  CPR and First Aid will be required training for successful applicants.
